Auburndale & Lakeland, FL · Since 2018
J&A Stone Designs offers countertop fabrication and installation, flooring installation, and custom cabinets from two dedicated showrooms in Polk County. Every countertop is fabricated in-house at our Auburndale shop. Flooring is installed throughout Central and South Florida by our Lakeland team.
Most countertop and flooring companies are showrooms that hand off fabrication and installation to separate contractors. J&A Stone Designs is built differently: our Auburndale shop has fabricated every countertop we've sold since 2018, and our Lakeland flooring team handles installation from selection through final walkthrough. One company, two dedicated locations, full service coverage for Polk County and beyond.
Every granite, quartz, marble, and porcelain countertop is cut, edged, and finished at our Auburndale shop. No outsourcing — the team that selects your slab installs it.
All estimates include an on-site visit. Countertop estimates include templating. Flooring estimates include subfloor inspection and moisture testing. Free, no obligation.
Florida's UV, humidity, and heat affect every material differently. We recommend what works in Florida homes — not what sells easiest.
Both showrooms install throughout Central and South Florida. Walk-ins welcome Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4PM.
Natural granite countertops sourced from Preferred Marble & Granite and The Granite Place. Every slab is unique — no two kitchens look alike. Requires annual sealing, which we perform at installation. Excellent heat resistance. Suitable for indoor kitchens and covered outdoor applications.
Our most-installed countertop material. Quartz is non-porous, requires no annual sealing, and resists staining from everyday kitchen use without treatment. Consistent color across large surfaces. Not recommended for outdoor use in Florida due to UV yellowing risk.
The highest-impact countertop surface available. Best suited to bathrooms, butler's pantries, wet bars, and kitchen islands with lighter use. Requires sealing and is susceptible to etching from acidic contact. We brief every marble client on care before selection.
The only countertop material fully suited to Florida outdoor kitchens and covered lanais. UV stable — does not yellow under sun exposure the way quartz does. Non-porous, scratch resistant, and heat resistant. Available in large formats for seamless waterfall island designs.
We cut, edge, and finish every countertop at our own Auburndale fabrication shop. No outsourcing at any stage. The team that creates your physical template is the same team that fabricates and installs. This single-team model eliminates the coordination failures that happen when showrooms hand off to separate fabricators.
Lakeland homeowners are served for countertop installation through our Auburndale showroom, approximately 15 miles away. We visit your Lakeland home for a free estimate and templating, fabricate at our Auburndale shop, and install the completed countertop. Same process, same team.
All materials are fabricated in-house and installed by our team. Installed pricing is a typical range for Polk County projects — your estimate may vary based on edge profile, cutouts, and slab selection.

Kitchen cabinet design and installation coordinated with your countertop selection. We sequence the project correctly: cabinets go in first, countertop templating follows once cabinets are set. This prevents the common problem of countertop remakes caused by measuring before cabinets are finalized. Available in a range of styles, finishes, and configurations from KCD and Tribeca.
Bathroom vanity cabinets, laundry room cabinets, and utility storage configurations. Available in the same KCD and Tribeca lines as our kitchen cabinets, ensuring a consistent look across multiple rooms in the same project. Coordinated with countertop selection for a cohesive bathroom or utility room result.
The most popular flooring material we install in Polk County. Waterproof core LVP is suitable for Florida kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and high-traffic living areas where moisture is a concern. Durable, low maintenance, and available in a wide range of wood-look finishes and plank widths.
Porcelain tile for bathrooms, kitchen floors, covered lanais, and high-moisture areas. Available in large-format and traditional sizes. Extremely durable and low maintenance for Florida's climate. Our most practical tile option for wet areas and outdoor-adjacent spaces.
Ceramic tile for bathrooms, laundry rooms, and mudrooms. A cost-effective, durable choice for indoor, lower-traffic wet areas. Available in a wide range of colors, sizes, and patterns. We recommend ceramic for controlled indoor environments — porcelain for heavier-use or outdoor-adjacent applications.
Engineered and solid hardwood flooring with Florida-specific installation guidance. For most Polk County homes, we recommend engineered wood over solid — it handles Florida's humidity swings with significantly less seasonal movement and warping risk. Installed in climate-controlled rooms only. Beautiful in living rooms, dining rooms, and master bedrooms.
Wood-look laminate flooring for bedrooms, offices, and rental property renovations. The most budget-friendly option in our lineup. Best suited to dry, climate-controlled rooms — not recommended for bathrooms, kitchens, or areas with moisture exposure in Florida homes. Practical and durable for the right applications.
Full professional installation and targeted repair services across all five flooring types we carry. Every installation begins with subfloor inspection, moisture testing, and precise measurement. We handle subfloor leveling, moisture barriers, and transition strips as needed. Repair services cover partial replacement, damaged section removal, and refinishing for qualifying materials.
All materials available through our Lakeland showroom. Installed pricing is a typical range for Polk County projects.
