About Bathroom Remodels

A Bathroom Asks More of Its Materials

Every surface in a bathroom lives with water, steam, and daily use. The wrong material or a rushed installation shows up as etching, mildew, or lifting tile within a year. We choose surfaces that hold up to that environment and install them so water goes where it should.

For a vanity top, quartz is the practical favorite: non-porous, no sealing, and forgiving of the toothpaste, cosmetics, and cleaners a bathroom sees daily. Porcelain slab offers the same zero-maintenance benefit, and marble is the choice when you want natural veining and will wipe spills promptly.

For wet areas, porcelain and ceramic tile remain the standard, and the work behind the tile matters as much as the tile itself. Proper waterproofing and slope are what keep a shower sound for the long run.

We fabricate your vanity top in-house, keep the worksite tidy, and walk every surface with you before we leave. The project is not finished until you say it is. J&A Stone Designs is family owned, licensed, and insured.

What We Replace

Surfaces in Your New Bathroom

Vanity Tops

The most-touched surface in the room. Quartz and porcelain are non-porous and need no sealing. Marble brings a luxurious look where acid exposure is limited.

Shower & Wall Tile

Porcelain and ceramic for shower surrounds, tub walls, and accent walls, installed to TCNA standards with proper waterproofing behind the tile.

Vanity Cabinets

Semi-custom vanity cabinetry built to your floor plan and finished to coordinate with the vanity top, mirror, and tile selections.

Brands: KCD · Tribeca
Flooring

Bathroom floors need real moisture resistance. Porcelain tile is the classic wet-room choice, and waterproof LVP handles humidity well at lower cost.

On wet areas: in a shower the assembly underneath matters as much as the visible surface, which is why proper slope and waterproofing are part of the work, not an upgrade. View real slabs and tile at our Auburndale showroom before deciding.

Why Non-Porous Wins in a Bathroom

A vanity meets water, toothpaste, and cleaners every day. A non-porous surface like quartz or porcelain wipes clean and never needs sealing, which is why it is the most practical pick for a busy bathroom.

Pair it with an under-mount sink for a seamless edge that is easy to clean, and with porcelain tile or waterproof LVP underfoot.

Common Questions

Bathroom Remodeling FAQs

Quartz is the most practical vanity top because it is non-porous and needs no sealing, which suits a surface that meets water and cosmetics daily. Porcelain offers the same low maintenance, and marble is an option when you want natural veining and will wipe spills promptly.
Timelines vary with the size of the bathroom and the amount of tile work. A vanity and floor refresh is faster than a full shower rebuild. Natural stone vanity tops add roughly 5 to 7 business days of fabrication. We provide a realistic written schedule with your estimate.
Yes. We install porcelain and ceramic tile to TCNA standards, including the waterproofing behind the tile. In a wet area the assembly underneath matters as much as the visible surface, which is why proper slope and waterproofing are part of the work, not an upgrade.
Both handle moisture well. Porcelain tile is the traditional wet-room standard and pairs naturally with a tiled shower. Waterproof LVP is warmer underfoot and usually costs less. We recommend based on your layout and budget during the estimate.
Yes. A vanity-top and sink upgrade is one of our most common smaller projects. We template the top to your existing or new cabinet and install it with the sink of your choice. You can add tile or flooring to the same visit or keep the scope to the vanity alone.
Yes. As a Wisetack financing partner, we offer $500 to $25,000 with terms from 3 to 60 months. Checking your options does not affect your credit score, and 0% APR is available for qualified consumers.
