Quartz is our most-installed countertop material. Engineered quartz gives excellent stain resistance, a consistent slab-to-slab appearance and no sealing requirement. For most modern kitchens it is the most practical choice.
Auburndale showroom & fabrication shop: 1057 US Highway 92 W, Auburndale · Mon-Fri 8-4

Engineered quartz is made by binding roughly 90 percent ground natural quartz with polymer resins under high pressure and heat. The result is a non-porous surface that resists stains, bacteria and liquid penetration without sealing. One limitation to understand upfront: the resins are not UV stable, and in direct Florida sun a quartz countertop will begin yellowing within 12 to 36 months. For outdoor kitchens and sun-exposed surfaces, porcelain slab is the correct material.
We fabricate quartz from MSI, Pental Quartz and Spectrum Quartz in-house at our Auburndale shop, with full control from slab selection through installation. Most clients choose cabinets in the same showroom visit, since cabinet color and door profile tie directly to the countertop.
Lines we carry: MSI · Pental Quartz · Spectrum Quartz
No penetrating sealer at installation and no resealing afterwards. Spills sit on the surface and wipe away without staining.
Quartz patterns are engineered for consistency. What you see on the showroom sample is what you get on the full counter.
Beyond regular cleaning there is nothing to do: no annual sealing, no acid-etching concerns, no special cleaners.
Quartz handles temperatures up to about 300°F before the polymer binders begin to discolor or weaken. Use a trivet for hot pans.
Quartz yellows in direct sun. We recommend it for indoor kitchens, bathroom vanities and laundry rooms, and porcelain slab outdoors.
Eased, bevel, bullnose, ogee and mitered waterfall edges all work with quartz. Most modern kitchens choose eased or bevel.

Your slab is cut, edged and finished in our own shop. Typical fabrication runs 5 to 7 business days.
Our crew installs, seals seams and coordinates plumbing reconnection. Most installs complete in a single day.

No. Quartz is non-porous and does not require sealing. This is one of its main advantages over natural stone for homeowners who want low-maintenance surfaces.
Use a trivet or hot pad. Quartz handles temperatures up to about 300°F before the polymer binders begin discoloring or weakening, and rapid or sustained heat can cause thermal expansion and surface cracking. Granite handles direct heat without issue.
Warm water with a soft sponge or cloth. For greasy residue, a pH-neutral, non-abrasive cleaner works well. Avoid bleach, oven cleaners, drain cleaners and strongly alkaline products, which can dull the finish over time.
No. Quartz is engineered stone: ground natural quartz combined with polymer resins and manufactured into slabs. Quartzite is a natural metamorphic rock, similar to granite but harder. Quartzite requires sealing and behaves like natural stone. Engineered quartz does not.
Yes, in most cases. Small chips can be filled with a color-matched resin and polished. Large chips or breaks across a seam may require replacing a slab section. Heat damage and UV discoloration cannot be repaired and would require replacement.
Yes. Undermount sinks are the most common pairing with quartz. The non-porous edge handles sink-edge water exposure without staining, and we coordinate the sink template and installation as part of the standard countertop install.
